答案優(yōu)選生物化學(xué)研究所成立於民國六十一年,現(xiàn)於南港院區(qū)和國立臺灣大學(xué)??倕^(qū)各有一座研究大樓,創(chuàng)所至今一直與國立臺灣大學(xué)理學(xué)院生化科學(xué)研究所進(jìn)行建教合作,共享教學(xué)和研究資源,合作無間,相得益彰。現(xiàn)在參與的研究人員包括研究員、副研究員、助研究員、博士后研究學(xué)者、研究助理、碩士班和博士班研究生等共約215人,此外尚有技術(shù)和行政等支援人員共16人。生化所現(xiàn)擁有各研究領(lǐng)域所需的儀器,研究人員也專精於各項(xiàng)技術(shù),諸如蛋白質(zhì)和核酸的微量分析與定序、核酸、勝月太及醣類之合成、質(zhì)譜和核磁共振之分析、蛋白質(zhì)及核酸晶體解析、蛋白質(zhì)體及功能基因體探討等。
研究方向
生化所繼續(xù)以往在蛋白質(zhì)化學(xué)、生物物理和分子及細(xì)胞生物學(xué)的優(yōu)厚基礎(chǔ),探討基因和蛋白質(zhì)之間的交互作用、各種酵素、毒蛇蛇毒、動物生殖的相關(guān)蛋白質(zhì)和賀爾蒙等特殊主題。同時,生化所持續(xù)地評估新的研究方向和領(lǐng)域,期使能對本院在功能基因體學(xué)及臺灣生物技術(shù)研究計(jì)畫的整體努力有所貢獻(xiàn)。生化所研究人員目前的研究領(lǐng)域包含生殖相關(guān)的荷爾蒙研究、細(xì)菌及動植物組織之酵素、有機(jī)合成相關(guān)酵素、毒蛇毒素及其細(xì)胞膜蛋白受體、生殖系統(tǒng)相關(guān)蛋白質(zhì)、眼球水晶體蛋白及轉(zhuǎn)錄因子等。上述研究領(lǐng)域皆使用分子生物及細(xì)胞學(xué)方法以探討其生物物理及生物化學(xué)上的相關(guān)特性。生化所自民國八十五年搬遷到目前新址后,設(shè)立新的分子及細(xì)胞醣生物學(xué)的研究室,以期對於醣蛋白及醣聚合體的結(jié)構(gòu)功能與生合成有進(jìn)一步的了解。特別值得注意的是面對后基因體時代新的研究挑戰(zhàn),生化所將上述分歧的研究領(lǐng)域整合成以下五個主要的核心研究方向:

(2)蛋白質(zhì)及生物有機(jī)化學(xué)
(3) 醣質(zhì)生物學(xué)
(4) 基因調(diào)控
(5) 結(jié)構(gòu)生物學(xué)及分子生物物理學(xué)
在這些研究領(lǐng)域中,生化所的目標(biāo)在於追求研究的高品質(zhì)與優(yōu)越性,并強(qiáng)調(diào)所內(nèi)研究主持人員的計(jì)畫合作及提升。
重要研究成果
生化所研究人員積極參與國內(nèi)外的各種學(xué)術(shù)活動,也參與各種國際學(xué)術(shù)刊物,例如 Journal of Biological Chemistry, European Journal of Biochemistry, Glycobiology, BBA, Analytical Biochemistry, 以及Biology of Reproduction等的編輯與審稿。除了國內(nèi)大學(xué)的教學(xué)工作,生化所的研究人員也應(yīng)邀擔(dān)任國與內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)研討會的專題演講,并參加國家科學(xué)委員會與國家衛(wèi)生研究院研究計(jì)畫的審查和視察等。民國八十九年至九十年間,生化所研究人員於國際期刊共發(fā)表105篇高品質(zhì)的論文。
